He's a veteran of the United States Army himself, inspired to join after his plane was grounded in Kansas City on 9/11. Layne's holds degrees in political science. He is particularly interested in political ideology, political movements (such as the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street Movement), political psychology, and history. \n\nHis writing has been featured at AmericanThinker.com and he has worked in the conservative movement with several groups, including local Tea Party groups, and most recently, the Convention of States movement. He is passionate about preserving the freedoms he has enjoyed while living in America. \n\nLayne is married and has four children. He currently lives in Washington state.
